Taking a break to discuss how much fun Monkey Joe's actually is. Jak told everyone there that it was the most awesome place EVER!!!!

And then, after a while, it makes him slightly dazed....and then we have....

Simultaneous naptime!!!! Aaahhhh....

We went to Jak's preschool's Fall Festival today. The school has been preparing for it for months, and it turned out to be a great time for all. There were tons of events and raffles (I entered the raffle for the $200 tattoo!!) and a huge turnout. We didn't get a ton of pictures because our hands were sticky from all the donuts, cotton candy and lollipops....Here's Kai's self portrait. He was our primary photographer.

Here's Kelan taking a turn at the dunk tank. 

The teacher on the right made sure everyone was a winner, but Jak (to his absolute delight) actually got a legitimate dunk! 

Kelan sees these toys through the fence every day when we drop Jak off for school. He was totally beside himself to get to play with them and hardly compelled to participate in any of the actual festivities going on. 

I might not get the boys to sleep in their own beds for a while after our attempt to go into the haunted house. I wish we'd gotten a picture of the little boys' faces when I brought them out (and we didn't even make it all the way through the entrance before Jak turned around and bolted--fast--outta there)...Kai, on the other hand, experienced the full deal and got to stick his hand in a bowl full of eyeballs. Fun!

Ok, the object is to get the donut (Krispy Kreme, btw), which is hanging on a string from the ceiling, into your mouth without using your hands. It was hilarious to watch, and Jak finally ended up just grabbing the darn thing.

Fit for Fun Center

We went to the Fit for Fun Center (aka kid-heaven) for the first this morning.

If it has wheels....

This ball pit was a dream come true. 

Spider art. 

Kelan said he was making apple pie. 

Jak made a train of boats...

and wrote his name for the world to see. 

Kelan practiced great restraint and shared with strangers. 

I thought Jak might pee his pants when they busted out the parachute.

 

Holy ravioli, they have a Bubble machine!!!!

Craft time was a blast and Jak was totally into it. 

Kelan was all about the cider. But instead of doing crafts...

...he decided to dance in the rain like a hippie. 

Here is the very pretty area behind our house where the boys can watch squirrels and birds and try to avoid poison ivy. It's also the path through which our back neighbor Fred drives his golf cart to get to the pool. 

Tuesday afternoon. Beach time. 

Jak loves it when the waves chases him...sheer exhilaration. 

This was the most fun thing ever.  

Jak says "just 10 more minutes mom?"

 I obliged. 

We went to the beach this afternoon. Labor Day weekend was the last of the tourist crowding, so it's nice and quiet now.

Jak is quite an artist these days! 

We walked around a lot, looking for cool shells and "dog footprints". 

Dug some holes and made some sand piles. 

Saw sea-gulls flying around with fish in their mouths. 

And had an overall fabulous time. Not bad for a Thursday afternoon.
